Behind the Scenes of the HIMAJAL Podcast: How Creators College Handles Content from Research to Production

Creating a successful brand video is much more than taking a camera and recording.

It starts much before the camera is switched on—with understanding the brand, researching the subject, planning the content, preparing the questions, arranging the production and making sure the final content is ready for the audience.

This is exactly what happened when Creators College worked on a special podcast for HIMAJAL, one of its client brands.

Creators College has been working with HIMAJAL on its digital content, supporting the brand across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. The work goes beyond simply creating videos. It involves understanding the brand, planning content, scripting, shooting, editing and supporting the ongoing management of its social media presence.

The latest project took that content work one step further with a podcast at the HIMAJAL factory.

From Content Planning to a Complete Podcast Production

For a podcast to work well, the preparation begins before the recording day.

Cecil Srungarapati, Founder of Telugu Tea Talks and Creators College, took responsibility for the overall preparation and production process.

The first step was understanding the subject.

Since the podcast was focused on HIMAJAL, its water solutions, products, innovations and business journey, background research was carried out to understand the company and identify the areas that would be important for the conversation.

The preparation included studying HIMAJAL's business, understanding its products and services, identifying relevant topics, preparing questions and planning the flow of the discussion.

The objective was not to create a simple promotional video. The aim was to create a meaningful conversation that could give the audience useful information while also telling the story behind the brand.

Preparing for the Conversation with Dr. Anand Kumar Jain

The podcast featured Dr. Anand Kumar Jain, Founder of HIMAJAL.

The conversation covered several areas connected with water and the water industry, including water purifiers, RO, UV, UF, HIMAJAL's innovations, water conditioners, services, customers, recognitions, entrepreneurship and the future of water.

Because the discussion covered several subjects, preparation was important to make sure the conversation moved naturally from one topic to another.

The questions and flow were planned with the objective of bringing out the experience and knowledge of Dr. Anand Kumar Jain while keeping the conversation understandable for a wider audience.

Kusum Ganji as the On-Camera Host

The podcast conversation was conducted by Kusum Ganji, YouTuber and Managing Partner of Telugu Tea Talks.

Kusum Ganji guided the conversation through questions covering HIMAJAL's products, technologies, innovations, services, business journey and future.

His role was to bring the prepared topics into a natural on-camera conversation with Dr. Anand Kumar Jain.

While the audience sees the conversation on screen, a significant amount of work happens behind the scenes before and after the recording.

What Happens Behind the Camera

The production process did not end with the podcast recording.

The preparation, production setup and post-production were handled as part of the overall content workflow.

This included coordinating the requirements for the shoot, preparing the content flow, ensuring that the recording was properly organised and then taking the recorded material through the post-production process.

Editing a podcast is also more than simply cutting footage.

The final content needs to maintain the flow of the conversation, remove unnecessary portions, highlight important moments and make the finished video suitable for digital platforms.

This is where content strategy, storytelling and editing come together.

More Than One Video

The HIMAJAL project represents the larger approach Creators College takes towards content creation.

For a brand, social media content is not just about publishing individual videos. The content needs to support the brand's communication across different platforms.

Creators College works across different stages of the content process, including:

  • Content research
  • Content planning
  • Script preparation
  • Question preparation
  • Shooting
  • Production setup
  • Video editing
  • Post-production
  • Social media content preparation
  • Platform-specific content
  • Page handling

For a client such as HIMAJAL, this means the content process can be handled as an end-to-end workflow rather than treating every video as a separate activity.

Cecil Srungarapati's Approach to Content Creation

For Cecil Srungarapati, content creation is not limited to shooting or editing a video.

His approach involves understanding what the brand wants to communicate, identifying what the audience needs to know and then building the content around that purpose.

As the Founder of Telugu Tea Talks and Creators College, his work connects content strategy, production, storytelling and digital media execution.

The HIMAJAL podcast is one example of this approach.

The visible part of the project is the conversation between Dr. Anand Kumar Jain and Kusum Ganji.

Behind that conversation is the research, preparation, planning, production and post-production that turns an idea into publishable digital content.

From Client Content to Complete Digital Content Management

The work with HIMAJAL also reflects how content creation has evolved for businesses.

Brands today need content consistently across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other digital platforms.

That requires more than an occasional video shoot.

It requires a system—from identifying content opportunities to researching topics, preparing scripts, shooting, editing and publishing content in a way that is appropriate for each platform.

Creators College's work with HIMAJAL follows this broader content creation approach.

The goal is to help a brand consistently communicate its products, expertise, people and story through digital content.

The HIMAJAL Podcast

The HIMAJAL podcast was another step in that ongoing content journey.

The project brought together the experience of Dr. Anand Kumar Jain, the on-camera conversation led by Kusum Ganji, and the research, preparation, production and post-production handled through Cecil Srungarapati and the Creators College team.

For the audience, it becomes a podcast.

For a content team, it represents an entire production process—from the first research question to the final edited video.

And that is the work that happens behind every piece of quality digital content.
